Firstly - welcome to Sunroom!! We're so excited to have you here. Setting up your profile is such a major part of your Sunroom journey and we're here to help you make it happen.
There are a few very easy (but very important!) steps you can tick off your list to ensure your Sunroom launch is a huge hit.
Follow the steps below to ensure you bring in as many new members as possible:
- Set up your bio! After adding a profile pic, head to your bio to introduce yourself and tell members how you show up on Sunroom! When non-members land on your Sunroom, they'll be looking to see what you offer here compared to your other socials. It's a great idea to add a 'What members get' list in your bio with the types of content you post and how regularly. Members also really appreciate knowing that their purchases are 30% cheaper on web (you can tell them to purchase on web here in your bio!).
Click Edit Profile to edit your bio. - Add posts to your grid: One of the best ways to convert and maintain members on Sunroom is by showing up consistently! For this reason, we suggest adding as much content to your grid (with a good range of content types) before you launch. Hot tip! Captions are a very important part of this process. Non-members can see the first line of your caption (whilst the content sits behind a paywall) so be sure to pique their curiosity by hinting at what the content is so they have to subscribe to see. Emojis help!
Click the Plus Sign in the centre of your screen to add posts. All posts are members-only, however you have the option to choose VIP posts which can be unlocked for an additional price by members only. Read more here. - Add a profile trailer: Because of the power of content, we've recently updated profile trailers to only be available to creators who post at least 10 posts to their grid first. Note: If you're unable to edit your profile trailer or if you're receiving an error message, be sure to download the latest version of Sunroom from the app store.
We find that the best performing profile trailers are spoken to camera videos where creators introduce themself and speak about the types of content they share on Sunroom! Creators who do best also showcase snippets for their content within the trailer. Note: You now upload your trailer as a single piece of media as opposed to the previous options of adding multiple media in-app. - Add House Rules/Membership Benefits: Your House Rules are a place for you to outline your boundaries on Sunroom and what you expect from members when they step into your Sunroom. You can choose from our pre-filled suggestions or you can write your own.
Membership Benefits clearly outline to prospective members what they get by subscribing to you - such as 'I post X times per week' or 'I answer all my DMs here'.
Head to Edit Profile > Under Bio, you will see an option to add both. - Set your membership price: Most members will compare a Sunroom membership to popular monthly subscriptions such as Netflix or Spotify ($10 per month). For this reason, it's always best to start low and experiment as you go. Did you know? The price a member joins Sunroom on is the price they will remain on, for life. You can rest easy knowing that if you increase your membership price at any time, your previous members will remain on the price they joined at.
Head to Edit Profile and scroll to the bottom to edit your membership price. - Set up your Custom Experiences: Custom Experiences are one of the best ways to offer value to your members and connect with them more personally! You can choose from our range of experience options or you can create your own and set your own price (we provide a Sunbeam guide). As time goes on, you will learn what your members want to see most of from you and you can swap out/edit your experience offerings.
On your profile, click the cog wheel Setting Icon > Chat & Custom Experiences to set up. - Verification: Be sure to check all the verification boxes in your Settings to ensure your payouts are processed each week!
Head to Settings > Personal Information and follow the prompts - Launch: Your Sunroom is now ready to launch into the stratosphere! We recommend speaking on socials to your community about why you've decided to share on Sunroom and the types of content members can expect to access, plus how often they can connect with you!
